I used to play Minecraft in the 1.8.8, found diamonds quite quickly, and soon built a Nether Portal near a village.
Then I went on monster hunting and found in a desert a second Netherportal that I guaranteed not built. It was not a server or a realm or lan world. How is this Nether portal in the desert. Nether portals are not generated but only built by the player. It is impossible. Maybe you have lost yourself after all.

@ NIC0R0YAL No, I swear I did not mess up. It's not a fake and I have no hallucinations. It's just that… Besides, the portal that I built did not have any corners, and that was built in the desert already. That's why I'm so taken aback.

It can only be a bug, otherwise I can't explain it to me. I've checked again, if the portal in the village is still there, and yes. Then I could see both portals at once. I had no mods in it. (OptiFine only)
