I want to get Minecraft and wanted to ask which one. JAVA, Bedrock or Windows 10. Would like to play masterbuilders etc.
Bedrock is the Windows 10 version. I prefer Java, simply because it is more modifiable, you can choose the version and everything is free and you can create your own skin pixel by pixel, with Bedrock you have to pay extra for everything. The only advantages of Bedrock are that the game runs more smoothly and cross-play to mobile phones, Playstation, Xbox and Switch. But if you download Optifine, you have no problem with Java that the game does not run smoothly. For Master Builders it doesn't really matter, there are roughly equally good servers for both versions. Do you have to decide how important you are?
I think Java is the best. You can add mods as you like and don't have to pay any field for microtransactions.
Windows 10 edition or Bedrock edition (is the same) is a glorified mobile game.
I don't think the Java edition is running unnecessarily. That also ran on my 6 year old laptop (it broke)

Yes, Minecraft doesn't need a lot of power. But where you really notice a difference is how the world is loaded as you move on, looks better and more fluid on Bedrock
Windows 10 is part of the Bedrock Edition. I currently play it on Windows 10 and on my smartphone. Graphically looks nicer and runs smoother on weaker computers. The Bedrock Edition also offers crossplay. The Bedrock Edition now also has many servers to choose from. Mods are also available for the Bedrock Edition, but nicer ones are available for Java and are also easier. You can also create skins for the Bedrock Edition yourself. But if you want to gamble on servers like GommeHD (if it still exists) you need the Java Edition. I also think it's cool on the Java Edition that you can select and play old versions. I myself am currently playing the alpha version #Nostalgie ^^ on the Java Edition (Yes, I have Bedrock and Java Edition). There's also a big difference in price. The Bedrock Edition costs 26.99 euro on Windows 10. The Java Edition, however, only costs 23.95 euro.

Definitely the Java edition. The only sensible version with the best user interface. Also runs with numerous mods, shaders, etc. And there are no microtransactions.
