Minecraft shader on a Mac, how?

Hi. As you've already learned in my question, I want to know how to download a shader in Minecraft, but on an IMac.

I've been looking for tutorials on YouTube so far, but they were all in English no matter if I typed '… In German'. So far I have only managed to download a Recource Pack but a shader is too difficult for me.

Can someone please tell me step by step how to do it, how to download a shader (on 1.8.9) and how to use it in Minecraft?

You download the ShadersMod (OptiFine) for 1.8.9.

Then you put the files in the "versions" folder and create a new profile in the launcher.
