OBS recording very pixelated?

Hi! I want to record Minecraft but it is always easy to get rid of.

Va

Which resolution and bitrate?

br

1920x1080 - 38000

Qu

It lacks far more information than just what resolution and in what bitrate you want to record. The location of the recording should also always be on a 2nd Independent record, where the game is not on it. Not to mention that your hard drive also has to write the 38k write speed.

Just put a complete picture of your settings online could help vll.

Hello here a picture and a recording:

To your picture, on the first view everything is okay.
You could also take QCP as an alternative to the bitrate and pick out the optimum for you from level 12 - 15. For example, if I With NVEC (new) streaming, I use QCP 15. While recording I'm working on my x264 codec, (40k bitrate), but here you can test how far your system is going to even go on QCP 20. Where 15 is a good value.

The video is normal for your settings.
The quality perfectly fine for 720p. You could also try 900p. For example, I stream with it. & Recording with 1080p.

br

Do not find the quality good. Everything is so pixelated! Have now put QCP on 12 times. Here is the video I really do not remember what to do.

Qu

I understand what you mean, but we're talking about 720p, because you can't expect 1080p. You could also adjust the preset (default). Such fine adjustments must always be adjusted individually.

In addition, there's also the correct rendering of the video (eg. With Adobe Premiere Pro) which you can improve / optimize the quality again something.

br

Can I qualify for 1920x1080? Is it then no longer "pixelated" I'm very sensitive but it went all perfect 1 month ago.

Qu

The question is: what have you changed in this first month?

Of course, a higher resolution means more quality, but also more computing power is needed & your hard drives have to get along with it.

br

In my opinion, I have not changed anything, but that can't be…

Qu

I guess you have the same location for the recording where the game is on it? So for both no independent hard drives?

Are you sure that your hard drive also creates the 38000 bitrate?

Kn

So inclusive without more info, of course, hard to say. But look at the settings as "basic settings" and then it should actually be very good. Of course, then you still have to adapt it to your PC & Internet.

Qu

Due to my previous statements about the QCP, I have to make a correction.

Since you have a NVIDIA, we stay with the NVEC (new) codec.
Here you still ask QCP, but here comes the fix:

The lower you go… 20 … 19 … 18 etc., the better the quality but also a higher computing power.
One says a QCP with 15 is already damn good. But if you go in the other direction: 20 … 21 … Usw to 25, the computational load is lower but the quality decreases.
Start with QCP with 20, and set "Default" Max.Quality.

Then you test. If you do not have a good result, you go to QCP 19, & test again. Bit by bit.

If your system starts to cause problems, you will switch from max. Quality to quality with the current QCP & test again, and so on.
