Similar games like Windforge?

There's the game Windforge:

That could be pretty cool, if it would not crash every 10 minutes and the developers would not have given up the game long ago.
But this kind of game (the Sandbox + Combat + 2d dogfight Combi) was pretty cool, but unfortunately unplayable due to the crashes.
Are there any comparable games in the field?
Minecraft excluded because feces.

So a mix of terraria / starbound and airships: conquer the skies I would say.
