Are there alternatives to the PC ban?

I would like to ask for advice here and openly present my current situation. Therefore, I would like to ask you to do without Hates.

I'm 21 years old and come from relatively difficult circumstances. At that time, I did not "learn" much from my mother and now I have to catch up on it with clenched teeth. Brushing your teeth would be just one example. Of course, this is a lot more difficult for a 21-year-old than for a 6 or 7-year-old.

As support for this, I'm in supervised living in families. I'm currently a trainee in the hardware store and have since September my training actually already in the bag.

Since I'm from 7 to 19 o'clock not at home but on work or on the way home, the PC is in the evening for me a mega program to shut down (do not play ball games or other, but Minecraft with a few people I got to know each other online via Teamspeak).

Therefore, I do not have to do anything in the household during the week, but only on weekends.

Since I did not learn a lot as a child, I often forget to brush my teeth, etc.

I'm annoyed that too but what annoys me much more is that I meanwhile even the Internet is turned off. So my Runterkomm program falls flat in the evening. It does not work differently.

My host family justifies that, since nothing else is working for me and I would be addicted to internet anyway.

I spend 3 hours at the Pc in the evening (not much at the weekend either, I also approached the family, as it used to be much more), so do not neglect my sleep, sleep in 3 months maybe once, always go to work and work Otherwise, do not let me get into debt.

I've repeatedly tried to make a point to my host family that the PC is in my eyes kindergarten and there should be a more sensible solution. However, they can't be discussed on this point and reject it strictly.

So my question to you: Is there a better alternative (unfortunately I can't think of anything else in this point) and how is there the possibility that they can talk about it?

You will belong to the smartphone generation.

Make life easier for you and set your calendar timer. There you are wearing when you have something to do. After a while you can do it alone.

It is not kindergarten. After all, you do not forget the PC. So let's assume that you can plan quite well. Those who can arrange for Minecraft at time X, can also go to the bathroom after dinner without forgetting it

Have you ever thought of a list at your door? I'm a civil servant in a school for mentally handicapped children. We have a daily schedule for each child, pictured with pictograms every morning. So everything is listed very precisely, so every kid knows what's going to happen on the day.

That would be a possibility, will set up the same time, Thanks for the tip

I've tried that before. So ended that I did not look at him anymore and he finally ended up in the garbage: -x

Besides, I do not have the time for it in the morning, since I'm already out at 6:30

Maddi,

explain your situation to your family. If you do not hear call the youth welfare office.

With 21 you can decide everything yourself. You have been of age for 3 years. Nobody can help you.

I live in Denmark. Without internet, nothing at all. The whole post here goes over the internet.

Where do your parents mentally live?

I would not let the Internet take away from me.
