Minecraft language change crashes?

I wanted to change the language grade but whenever I select German reacts nothing and the game crashes…

Have not heard of it yet, but may be darn that the file raises a mistake. Just delete the version file from the version folder you're playing in, if it's version-wide, it would do the same. It could also be because if you give the game too little memory, I can say from my own experience that Minecraft is freezing on my old laptop when you have changed the language and the memory has always been running at full load.
