I play Minecraft on the laptop and have to delete the game for a short time. If I install it again, the worlds should of course be back. But how should I do it? When I type% appdata%, then go to roaming and press .minecraft, the folder is empty. Actually there should be a saves folder, where the worlds are save and permanent, and also updated by Minecraft, but as I said, my .minecraft folder in roaming is empty. Maybe it's in the files somewhere else, or Minecraft just can't access my files? Or in general, how do you get the .minecraft and thus the saves folder? Can you help me please? Please answer clearly. With me everyone gets a helpful.
% appdata% and then search in .minecraft and the save folder
You have to set in File Explorer that hidden elements are also shown.
How does it work
On Windows, click View at the top, then click Show Hidden Items
* from Windows 8
But the folder is not hidden by default.
Press windows key and R at the same time.
a small window opens, enter% appdata% (with the% characters) and press okay.
A folder opens
In this there's the folder .minecraft, open it
In this there's the folder "saves". In this again the worlds are.
Hope I could help.
