Building styles in Minecraft?

I have a question about building styles in Minecraft.

I started a Minecraft Survival World with my buddy and I need ideas about what I could build and what styles I could try out. I used to like to build modern and medieval buildings, but now I paid more attention to efficiency instead of looking, I would like to change that because I would like to build a beautiful environment.
