We have added a mod in our already existing Minecraft world that adds new ores. We thought we couldn't get the ores that quickly because the world / chunks had already been generated. We went on an exploration tour and then found some and then dismantled them. Because we just thought that we could no longer get the ores, we got 20 pieces of ores in creative mode. But when we were on the exploration tour we found the materials and were then able to laboriously manufacture the ore. We then did it by burning 20 of these ores that we farmed ourselves to "make up" for the 20 that we got out of creative mode. (What we got in creative mode and what we made for me was the same ore). Would you call this cheating? Prop. Not or, because we then "undone" it)
Well If you decide to play in survival, it is first cheat to change the game mode. So basically yes. The fact that you then cheated items is unfair. But since you've made up for that, it's not that bad. Just like I said: If you decide that you want to play in survival, it is first cheat to change the game mode.
No, if you balance it and delete / burn the "cheated" it is not cheating
No, we didn't burn what we cheated. We continued to use what we cheated on (so we continued to use the ore because we thought that our world no longer generated this ore). But then we found the ore and we burned 20 of them (from the same ore). So the farmed ore, which we thought didn't exist & we got it out of creative mode, we burned it. So we burned the same farmed one.
We only changed the game mode because we thought that the ore was no longer in the world. But then we explored and saw that the whole thing existed and then farmed it, processed but then also burned 20 of it again. The farmed & cheated ore is the same.
There are always ores in Minecraft. A Minecraft world is infinitely large and every chunk (16x16 blocks) that you move, new chunks with new ores are generated. So that would be an excuse for me
Then everything is good
Yes, but we added the mod to an existing world that was already loaded. We thought that the world had to be completely redesigned in order to also generate the newer ores, we were unsure about that & because we believed that the new ores might not exist, we fetched them. But we did find them afterwards and we burned as many of the farmed ones as we cheated on so that it was evened out again
OK. Yes, you must know. All good
Would you call that cheating? Because "cheating" in itself means that you gain a game advantage. We did at that moment, but then balanced it again by destroying the same number of ores again.
No
