I can't start Minecraft 1.8. That's why I want to uninstall Minecraft and then download it again. How can I save my worlds so that they are not deleted when Minecraft is deleted? (Linux Mint)
Have to look where the minecraft folder is at linux and do a back up of your worlds
If you play on Windows 10 and use the Java Minecraft version, just go to the .minecraft versions folder and delete version 1.8 and then reload it in the Minecraft launcher. Have you ever tried?
You have to copy the saves folder (in the minecraft folder), your world is in there.
I know from my head where it is with Windows.
With Linux I had to google and found this:
The .minecraft folder can be found on every computer immediately by clicking on the tab in the launcher
Profiles and then the small arrow on the far right of the line
Game folder clicks.
In the old launcher you can access the .minecraft folder by clicking on the tab
Profile Editor clicks, right-click in the line with the desired version and the menu item
Selects Open Game Folder.
Minecraft creates a folder ".minecraft" in your home directory, in which everything is located.
System Windows:
% Appdata% /. Minecraft
[Win] + R
Linux system
/ .Minecraft ~
[CTRL] + H in the file explorer
MacOS system
~ / Library / Application Support / minecraft
[CMD] + [Shift] + G in the Finder
Since I do not use this myself, all without guarantee.
I play the Java version on linux mint
