I look for a laptop and want to ask if a touch screen makes sense. I will use the laptop for surfing, doing office tasks, image editing and a little gambling like Minecraft. Is a touch screen useful or does it not work? Is he generally useful? If so, then which laptop to 850 euro would you recommend me?
The touch screen is useful only when you use the laptop as a tablet, e.g. On the sofa or something similar. So a Surface or Lenovo Yoga Book. Otherwise, the hand movement on the screen takes longer than with the touchpad.
I see no use in this and would do without this unnecessary cost factor.
What's he doing on the sofa in the evening?
I have a laptop with a touchscreen from work.
YES, it may be useful to take notes in OneNote or similar. To do, however, there's still much faster and tidier with keyboard
Therefore, I would say rather is not something you need
Personally, I have no use at all for a tablet, but I know many who like to surf with the tablet… Is maybe just bissle cozier. You just have to know what you want: laptop or tablet. A laptop with touch brings no added value.
The touch here:

The here without touch:

In my opinion, Touch is overrated. You do not need that. Everything just costs more.
