Why can I only play the demo version of Minecraft Java Edition?

I bought Minecraft Java today. I installed it and wanted to start it then there was a demo version. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. I also tried to register again, I don't understand why it doesn't work. I also checked whether I really bought it and it said yes. Then I wanted to log into my Mojang account again, but it didn't work. Can someone help me would be great.

I downloaded it from the official Minecraft site.

I'm not so sure what Launcher means right now, but I installed it on my Windows laptop, which is actually relatively new.

You have to log into the "Launcher", otherwise it can't know whether you have bought the game or not.
