Does Minecraft run properly on a MacBook Air?

I have a MacBook Air from 2018. I want to buy Minecraft for it and wanted to ask whether it is really playable at all. Here are the technical data:

Minecraft actually runs everywhere. I had Minecraft on a tablet more than 10 years old for a while and even then it worked properly.

So that Minecraft is not that complex, I wouldn't say it is one of the most complex games on the market
