Hi, where can I turn the shadow off or on in Minecraft
I want that black is gone, so that is the normal "color"

You have to install shaders. Check out YT for such tutorials. In any case, you also need Optifine for it.

Why not 1.16. This is the current one. 1.8 is completely out of date!
