Why does an fx processor have more fps in minecraft than my ryzen 1400?
Depends on which fx.

The ryzen is actually much faster than the fx 6350. Then it's a weird compatibility problem

In that case, either your drivers are not i.o. Or something else is buggy / background programs etc. - or your buddy is lying.

Better single core clock. The Rizen is at 3.2 Ghz the FX at 3.9 Ghz.
Minecraft is just single core lastig.
Maybe he has optifine and you do not
