Hi, I play Minecraft on 1.16 (Java with Optifine) and when I asked a little bit I got lost and couldn't find my way home.
So I entered "/ teleport (name) (coordinates of my house)" and then I was home.
However, I had taken my 3 parrots with me and when I teleported home they weren't there with me. I've been waiting for 15 minutes but they just don't show up.
Does it just take a while until they come or I can't get them anymore?
No, as soon as they are out of range they can no longer teleport to you. Same for dogs and cats.
Therefore: If you have a pet somewhere far away, you can't just teleport yourself home and expect it to come. Instead you have to teleport both of you (/ tp @e [distance = .2] x y z)
And now to the solution:
Do / tp @e [type = parrot] ~ ~ ~
With a little luck they are still in the entity list and will be tpt to you.
Otherwise, all you have left is to run back there and then teleport both of you home.
No, when you teleport, the animals that you have with you will unfortunately not be ported. The only possibility that I know is that you go back to the position where you teleported away and go back home with the parrots, but since you got lost, I guess you won't know where it was. Therefore, I advise you that next time you write down the coordinates of your home so that if you get lost again and want to take animals with you, you can walk to the coordinates. Of course you can also cheat 3 new parrots
Both chunks must be loaded. Unless the one with the parrots is unloaded, they can't teleport either. Let someone else stand by the parrots and they will come to you
