Minecraft stuttering?

I play Minecraft on my PC and can play in single player mode with about 300 fps without frame drops. In multiplayer mode I have frame drops from 60fps to 20 or lower every 10 seconds. What can that be?

If you are not alone on the server, someone with a bad internet connection can pull everyone else down with them. So-called "low pingers" are accordingly unpopular on servers.

It can also be up to you. If Windows is trying to get updates, it will slow down your Internet speed, the ping will increase enormously, and you will feel jerky (lag).

I said I had frame drops and not a bad ping.

And when the ping is bad, the FPS will decrease to make up for it. I think something when I say something like that. 😉

If the connection to the server is restricted, the game can't continue running at normal speed, this would cause a buffer overload.

It could be because you didn't allocate enough RAM to Minecraft.

I conclude on the basis of the 10-second intervals.
