Staying online on Minecraft without a PC?

I built a cactus farm and it only grows when I'm online. However, I want to do this overnight, but don't feel like leaving my PC on because of power consumption, brightness, etc. Is there any way to stay online without leaving the PC on? Wouldn't be willing to pay any money so please have a free option!

Not really possible. This is due to the update block and the fact that someone always has to be in the chunk for it to work, i.e. So that almost everything is updated. You almost always have to stay online and have to stand in the chunk of the farm, one solution would be to try to leave the computer in standby so that it is not completely off.

As far as I know, won't the internet be cut in standby?

You can do this in the display settings of your pc. If there's a screen saver somewhere, it must say somewhere that the screen will go dark after a certain time. And I think you can even set that the pc is not switched off. Ea is stupid only if the server you are playing on has an AFK kick, which means that you will be kicked from a certain time if you are AFK for too long.

So for me the internet runs with it, only when it's off is it cut

And doesn't it still consume electricity?
