How should we play Minecraft?

It is my first time with my friend who likes minecraft as I like it. We have three ideas for playing but we have not decided. What would you take

P.S Minecraft as a hacker means we cheat with Surival.

"Hacking" is boring

But only in single player

Minecraft Survival as normal.

Cheating in survival mode will quickly make the fun go away. And that really happens very quickly
