Multiplayer possible on Minecraft Java?

Can you play multiplayer on the Java version without Realms?

Ca

You should be able to log into servers.

Or open your own world in the LAN.

Yes, either via Nitrado (it costs something) or via LogMeIn Hamachi is free. One of the players has to start a network and open a LanWelt. Then you can only play when the host is on.

So

Yes, you can simply register with https://aternos.org/...s.org/:de/ and create a server.

Ma

Which then runs terribly slow and takes an hour to start, that's a very good solution…

mi

What a shame, I didn't know. Haven't used it for a long time. What has become so bad.

Ma

Or simply Neither nor and you set up a server as normal or would that be too easy?

pl

You can also simply join an existing server

Ma

If you mean a normal multiplayer server, you can easily set one up

pl

But is one of the few ways you can get FREE servers

Oa

You can't play properly from 7pm to 9pm… You get a permanent time out, the server usually has a 4k ping at other times everything is going well

Ma

But the worst for that

So there's no reason for it if things are going just as well better

pl

It's just a question of what you expect from free servers…

Ma

One that runs smoothly and packs everything I want and you get that too

So

It works fine for me

If you are in the same Wi-Fi network, one of you can start a single player world and open it in the pause menu in the LAN. Then the other can enter this world via multiplayer.

If you are not in the same Wi-Fi network, you need a server or a realm. Some servers are free, but then the server doesn't perform well. You can rent a good server for a fee or, for example, create one for free on ploudos.com or aternos.org.
