Can I use a controller with Minecraft?

I would like to use a PC with a controller (switch) for Minecraft Bedrock. I've tried other games and played with Steam but I don't know where to save it because I have it in my taskbar. Please tell me how I can find out where it is stored or how else connect the controller

Xbox controls definitely work in the Bedrock. I don't know what it looks like with a switch. I doubt it.
