Minecraft Bsl shader lagging on the Mac?

My Minecraft shader is very lagging with the best quality, I have an iMac 2011. For example, if I get a 4K monitor, would that be of any use? I really don't know my way around.

No, you need a better computer, a screen won't do you anything if the graphics card isn't good.

A 4K monitor has nothing to do with the performance of your Mac, or rather does not improve it but deteriorates it in the sense of the PC has more to do because it now has to output an even better quality.

Graphics cards are very expensive right now and can't be bought.

The processor would definitely have to be bought new.

Load Optifine and a light normal shader on it
Render distance to 10-14
Be satisfied with the old thing with 60fps if that works.
