I have had the problem for a while that if I want to play from my PS4 Minecraft Multiplayer with my PC, that doesn't work.
I signed in to the Playstation with a Microsoft account.
Everything worked until then, but when I wanted to play together and entered the gamer tag from my account on the PC, nothing happened. The Playstation does not start to search. I just entered a letter for testing and then someone's account came right away.
I then read that you should open the Xbox console companion app (on the PC). I found the gamer tag wanted by the Playstation and added it as a friend.
Still, I can't play together.
(Both devices are connected to the Internet by the way)
Can you help me?
Is it because the ps4 is running a different version of minecraft, namely the ps4 version
Can you do anything at all?
No. These are completely different games
I just checked again
there's the possibility to go into the "old" and the "new" version of Minecraft
you just have to go down and then on x
But I was and was in the new version
On the PC you need the Bedrock Edition, then you can do it with Crossplay. Java and PC don't go together
You can simply use the Bedrock Edition as e.g. The 1.8 or the 1.15.1 "Install"?
or where do you get them from?
Did you get the Java Edition before October 2018 or after? If so, you should have a look at mojang.de, you can get it, otherwise in the MS Store for 20 euro
Yes I found it
Do you mean 1.14 and 1.15 or what?
