Should I get VR equipment?

Hi! The question is in the title. I wouldn't play too many games with it. Minecraft, possibly Roblox etc. Nothing too big. Will the whole thing still work even though my PC is not the best?

Graphics card: GTX 970

Core: AMD FX (tm) -6300 six-core processor

Total: 16 GB RAM

RAM still available: 10.8 GB

Windows 10 available

It should work, but I would definitely upgrade my PC before a VR upgrade. Otherwise it's not really fun. The money that good VR glasses cost also built a strong new PC. Because good VR equipment quickly costs more than 600-800 euro.

What exactly should be improved on the PC?

Ka

To be VR capable, depending on the age of the other components, I would sell everything and buy completely new or partial upgrades.

It's best to buy a Ryzen 3600, 16GB DDR4 with a B450 motherboard or similar.

The GTX 970 can be upgraded soon if you want to play VR, but that should do it first.

Ryzen 3600 16gb ddr4 and B450 board costs about 320 euro

For your combination you will still get around 100 euro on the used market (i.e. 16gb ddr3 with the processor and the mainboard)

Can I play smaller games without an upgrade?

Ka

Yes, should be possible. But as I said, VR doesn't make any sense when it comes to configuration!
