My buddy and I play Minecraft Bedrock together. However, it was always extremely extreme where the host is not. My buddy has a 16Mbits connection and I have a 50Mbits connection. We're both connected via LAN.
Is the internet connection insufficient or can there be other reasons?

I don't know about MC, but it won't be your PC. Minecraft hardly needs any power. You already need a PC from the Middle Ages that doesn't work.
