I have a PC for a long time now and therefore want to reinstall minecraft. I logged in everything is fine and so I'm in my old account but there's nowhere to download or install even though I bought it back then! Why can't I download it?

If it says "buy" you click on it and it will find that you already have the game.

Click on "buy". The homepage then tells you that you have already bought it and offers you the download.
