Why are not there any good MMORPG games left or is the trend over now?

The last RPG I liked was WOW but they became too expensive for me and it has become relatively empty (last play 2015).

But there are alternatives as well as no or which are well under construction but buggy or completely real
(monster mixes from the most different types).

and yes I know that you can turn minecraft so that it is almost like a MMORPG and I play just now.

The trend is more towards survival MMOs. The next big thing could be, for example, The New World by Amazon. But that always depends on the hype train. WoW will definitely never come back, that's unfortunately over.

There are still good MMOs you just have to search and find. Play since 2012 guildwars 2, which is still actively maintained and constantly evolving. Even the predecessor, guildwars, which appeared in 2005, is still actively gambled by the community, and regularly provided with updates by the developers.

Most of them are updated, but I'm a bit critical, but I'll take a look.
