Play Minecraft for two, start button does not work

I have 3 new controllers original from XBox 360 and as soon as I enter 2 players and press the start button nothing happens. But it started at the beginning and now it is no longer what I can do

I only know of xbox one but maybe it is the same. With the xbox one you have to press the xbox button in the middle of the controller. Then a window should pop up on the left. Then you have to go somewhere to add guest.

But I don't know if that leg works for you too.
