Bios overclocking is not saved?

I have the following problem:

I've been trying to overclock my Intel i5 4670k for hours, but to no avail…

I have the h81 plus mainboard with 2303 each where I've tried the whole thing.

I've tried more than 10 attempts to set the Core Ratio Limit to other clock speeds like 3.5GHz but somehow no matter what i save there's never anything stored. As soon as I'm back in Windows 10 and start CPU z, he shows me the usual 3.4 GHz, core temp again shows me the set 3.5 GHz, in Windows is in the Control Panel synonymous and minecraft shows under f3 the same thing.

What can I do to keep overclocking stored?

(The CPU core voltage has of course been changed several times)

I increased my Amd Phenom XII from 3.2 GHz to 3.9 GHz. The performance of my sixcore processor is therefore clearly noticeable at 700Mhz.

But tell me, what do you expect from an increase of 100mhz in a quad core processor?

But anyway… It may be that you have to specify the correct voltage with the overclocking. And if that does not fit, it goes back to its original state.

The question here is also whether your bios allows certain interventions in your processor or whether it initializes predefined parameters each time it starts. Has your bios activated OC protection?

My other question would be; can it be that your battery is empty and your bios always reset to factory settings?

First of all, thanks for the answer,

to answer your stuff first, I hope to get some better performance in games like minecraft or fortnite, as an i7 is too expensive…

I ran prime 95 and got a standard voltage of 1.1110V. (Read in Cpu Z)

From an "OC protection", I know nothing, but I've taken a closer look at the entire BIOS but found nothing that somehow prevents too high a clock rate or too high voltage.

Where a + of 0.1 Ghz is not a problem because the maximum temperature at prime 95 was 76 degrees.

Also, I have the clock speed synonymous without changing the voltage adjusted. (BIOS reset) - did not synonymous.

Then I even tried 3.4GHz to come to 3GHz, back in Windows shows CPU z as always 3.4GHz…, whereby I now think that cpu z always indicates the default value, in the system control in system, he shows me 3,4GHz BUT also 3GHz directly behind it.

The battery I changed yesterday and everything set again.

As I said, I have the asus h81 plus with BIOS version 2303. Definitely there's a description online what protection functions that part may have.

Do you have a motherboard that automatically adjusts the voltages of the clock rate or do you have to adjust this manually?
