Can you connect the controller to the PC so that you can play Minecraft on the PC with controllers? If so, then someone should report who is familiar with it and could explain it to me.
As far as I know that should work. There are mods with which you can control Minecraft with a controller. Then you just have to connect the controller to the PC.
Editing: There's also software that can be used to convert the signal from the controller into a keyboard signal.
With the Windows version it goes either way. I don't know about Java.
Yes, but that only works with normal Minecraft, it doesn't work with the Java Edition.
Should go, you just have to connect your controller to the PC via cable or Bluetooth
The Java Edition is the normal Minecraft.
Already tried. It does not work
If I understand correctly you want to play Minecraft on your PC with a controller. This works if you have properly connected the controller to the computer via USB or Bluetooth as long as you have the Bedrock Edition. With the Java edition there's a possibility to make the game playable with the controller via keymapper and mod or similar. However, I don't know if this is also possible with the latest versions of Minecraft. Is a tutorial from Youtube on how to make the Java edition playable. Is a bit older and cumbersome but should work.
Which controller are you trying to use? Xbox or Playstation?
Do you use the Java or Win10 edition?
If you're using a Playstation controller, you'll need a tool called an input mapper
Xbox
No, the previous Windows 10 version is now simply called "Minecraft" and runs on almost all systems. Perhaps the Java version used to be standard, but today it is separately the "minecraft: Java Edition" and incompatible with e.g. Other platforms or controllers. The only thing that still works well there are the servers.
And with an Xbox controller
With an xbox one controller or newer, you only have to connect it to the PC. Then take a look at the youtube tutorial
Of course, this is also possible in the Java Edition. Which is the normal Minecraft with the larger community and by far the most players.
