Minecraft fps drop? - 1

I wanted to know if someone could help me. And indeed, when I log into Minecraft everything works great, I have my 144fps at 144hz, but after about 5-6 minutes there's always an fps drop of 30fps that remains continuously. I know it's not too bad, but I'd love to fix it.

Bi

Not too bad? If you are in the middle of a fight it costs you the round!

Turn off fps limits
Allocate more RAM
Select the correct Optifine settings
Exclude external factors such as background programs

da

But I've already done everything. You are also right because the FPS drop remains constant. Not like other lay spikes. But thanks anyway for the tips.

Pr

Is in principle normal. Unfortunately, drops also happen with good gaming PCs. Here are a few things that could be the cause:

Rendering (especially with shaders)
Wi-Fi / Internet connection
Server problems (TPS)

Bi

Oho hm. Usually the tips always fix that.

It drops to 30 and stays there?

What kind of hardware do you have?

da

Unfortunately I already have a stable ethernet connection. Exactly the same with rendering. Do you think it could be due to Hypixel? I mean, on Gomme, that doesn't happen or only rarely. Could that be the reason?

da

I meant that the FPS always go down around 40 or 30. So 144-40, that's why it is not that bad, but can ruin the fight and gaming experience anyway, because it is a change for the eye in the MOment and my eyes have already got used to the 144hz while playing.

Pr

Yes, of course, it could be due to Hypixel. Hypixel has mega strong servers, but still join and leaven and move around thousands of players in lobbies at the same time and so on. And there can be short stoppages that have nothing to do with you. Particularly good internet could give you an advantage, so not just stable connection but really fast. Ethernet is good, but it doesn't mean anything by itself.

Bi

I see. Yes, of course, that destroys the experience.
how much fps do you have without FPS limitation?

da

Thanks for the great clarification. That was my very first question here and I have to say that I'm impressed. But back to the topic, do you have a tip to maybe improve my connection?

da

On average around 250 in Bedwars Base 180. And on all other servers there are always at least 200.

Pr

A good question is not that bad for many things, above all you get an answer quickly. But I also have a lot of MC experience. I can still remember when Gomme was very little. Unfortunately, I'm not a network technician, it depends mainly on your contract how fast your internet is. Fast internet simply also costs a lot of money. Otherwise you're doing everything right with the cable anyway. Bound is better than Wi-Fi. Maybe someone else has tips.

da

Thank you very much for your tips. If you feel like it, we can do a 1v1.

Bi

Then it should go well with 200 - 40 is still more than 144.

In Minecraft it is unfortunately normal that the fps fluctuate

I have an average of 400 fps myself and everything from 250 to 700 is included

You can only try to increase the fps with better settings. Then you won't notice the drops either.

Updating graphics drivers might help too

Pr

I'm currently taking a Minecraft break because I got too addicted. But thanks for the offer. Btw was once ragemode 3rd place on Gomme if that tells you something, so with bows you wouldn't have a chance.

da

You're right, I haven't done that in ages. I will update them immediately.

da

I believe you about that.__. Because I'm the ultimate scrap with a bow. I can use the sword for that.

Then take care and have a pleasant evening.
