Which GPU to Intel Core i5 4590S?

Re

I would like to upgrade my PC with a better graphics card (since it is currently only a GT710). And then I wanted to know what kind of graphics card goes best with it? I already had the GTX 1050TI in mind, which would be enough for me because I only want to play games like Fortnite, Minecraft, Destiny 2 and Apex Legends. I've also heard that some mainboards don't play with certain graphics cards. Since I don't know exactly what it is, I call the PC (it's actually just an office PC) and it is an HP ProDesk 400 G2 MT with the above-mentioned processor and 8GB DDR3 RAM. I'm not worried about the power supply, I still have a 650W power supply which I will probably install.

So does a GTX 1050TI or better fit?

De

Why "GPU" in the question? GPU is to the graphics card what the CPU is to the mainboard. GPUs are not (yet) interchangeable.

Re

Yes, I took it with one because GPU * mostly * means the graphics card

Sp

At HP, you can be very unlucky with the power adapter, make sure you check it out.

Overall, the Gtx 1050ti is the right choice

im

The 1050ti should fit easily. But be careful when replacing the power supply. HP often uses its own connections, so that a standard power supply no longer fits.

Re

As I said I still have a 650W power supply flying around here. But thanks

Sp

Yes, I mean the connections don't fit

Re

I've already had it in there, works without any problems

Re

I've already had it in there, fits problem-free

im

Then it fits. As I said, the 1050ti should fit and is just right for your purposes.

Re

Thank you very much.

I would rather go with a 1060 6GB…

Re

I have concerns about a bottleneck that is already too strong for my PC

Cr

Believe me that's okay. At that time I also used the card with the I5 of the 2 Gen and most of the time the card was still the problem

Re

Yes, well, but the 2nd gene was legendary for the fact that you could use it almost anywhere, I would probably have a graphics card. In between looking like a 1650. Let's see what I'll do

Je

There are many suitable graphics cards available for your system. I would take an AMD RX 570 8GB, RX 580 8GB, RX 590 or Nvidia GTX 970, GTX 1060 6GB.
Something worse would be enough, but that way you are better equipped.

Cr

Yes. But there's no way I would take the 1050Ti. Better to buy used ne 1060 for 89 - 100 euro and then have peace. Unfortunately you can only get them for 200 euro ++++ at the moment
