Why does my Ryzen 5 3600 get so hot?

I have assembled a new PC.

Components:

Case: LC Power Gaming 703B

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (use the standard cooler)

Mainboard: MSI B450M Pro VDH MAX

GPU: Zotac Gtx 1080

My PC gets hot when I'm on the desktop between 40 and 70 degrees, always changes. I just started the Minecraft test. Had over 90 degrees, in short even 98 degrees, that's not normal, I have already opened a new tab in Chrome suddenly 70 degrees.

I have already installed the cooler, all screws are also fixed and have already replaced the WLP, there's no film on the cooler. I'm getting really desperate. On the mainboard there's no screw inside because the spacer was unscrewed, which is at the bottom right. Does it have anything to do with it?

I'm really desperate for help.

th

Which cooler do you use?

Apparently your cooler isn't stuck, check it out!

And don't forget the thermal paste.

P.S.

Everything must be stuck to the cooler! What's loose is it!

An

It's best to buy a tower cooler. Your ryzen is really too hot

De

The standard cooler out and a better one in

and what about air flow in the housing?

Vi

Apparently you haven't read my post completely, use the cooler that was already included, have used new WLP and the cooler is really on it.

Vi

Should I use water cooling?

De

A better air cooler is enough

th

But it should still be able to cool the CPU.
Something is not right.

Possibly. A defect?

th

Check again if everything is sitting correctly. You never know.

Vi

The rotation is quite normal: /

th

I mean the CPU ^^

I already reassembled 5x and 3x yesterday. Still it gets too hot: /

Vi

I can't really imagine that. The CPU is new

th

I can give you the BeQuiet as a better cooler! Recommend Dark Rock Slim!

Use that for the Ryzen 5 2600, Top!

Ko

Do you have a case fan that rotates? And does the radiator fan also turn?

Vi

Yes, I have 3 in the front and one in the back.

Vi

Would you prefer a small water cooling system, would it be better cooling?

th

You don't need water cooling.

You only need water cooling if you overclock, if at all!

st

So with the exception of the peak at 98 ° C, which is not really threatening either, your temperatures are not nice, but they are within limits. The thermal limit specified by AMD is 95 ° C.

Test everything with the case open. Is the fan running smoothly, how high is it rotating and how idle is your CPU usage? Maybe you just have a few programs running in the background, so that your CPU is already running under load.

Vi

I have already tested it with the case open, but unfortunately nothing changes.

Have the fans all set higher, my CPU fan runs at around 1950 RPM.

Nothing worked except Chrome and League of Legends.

Vi

But a simple water cooling from Cooler Master is cheaper than that from Be Quiet

st

First of all, you don't have to worry about your CPU breaking. It always clocks in such a way that it survives and when the going gets tough, it switches itself off. I don't know now what a load your "Mindcraft-Test" was, but I think you have the normal temps for your CPU / fan combination, because the Wraith Steath is really small.

Vi

Yes, nevertheless it is not quite normal, I just ordered a water cooling from Coolermaster, hopefully it should work better then.

st

I hope the 240mm version. The 120mm from Asetek have a tendency to die very young.

Vi

I got the 120mm version because it would be tight with the space.

st

You have a huge case. Doesn't even a 360er fit in the front?

I would really advise you against 120mm AiOs from Asetek. They don't grow old!

Vi

This is actually a pretty small case

st

You have this case, right?

If so, that's huge! You should easily accommodate 240mm.

PS: The manufacturer also states that 240mm radiators are compatible.
