Minecraft Electric Sorting Machine Tutorial?

I have been trying for so long and have still not found out how IC2's Electric Sorting Machine works.

So I would like it so that I have the input in one connection and then left and right each have an output

Can someone please give me a tutorial?

Unfortunately, there's only one default / blacklist path.

All pages are inputs, each page has a list of objects that the machine will try to direct. The lists can overlap. 5 pages have a whitelist with a list of allowed items and a page (default route) with a blacklist for items NOT to be displayed in this page.
