Minecraft REALM free trial?

I have activated the free trial version of Minecraft Realm. If it runs for 29 days, it will be automatically extended after the 29 days. If so, how can I cancel it?

But did not have to enter any payment methods, can it be that the trial version expires without any additional costs?

Does anyone have experience with it or can help

Nothing can be renewed if you have not specified a payment method.

So: It just runs and you can then buy days or months later. (so it becomes inactive and you can no longer enter it)
