Also, I often play the Windows 10 version of Minecraft and right now I have the bug that the sky never loads properly and that leads to doubling things and getting very confused.

Maybe you have to turn on VBOs.

The setting can be found under Video Settings in the settings.

Unfortunately there are no video settings in the Windows 10 version. Also no VBOs that you can turn on!
