Minecraft 500FPS?

How do I get more fps? Have a very good PC, but only 60FPS in Minecraft. My friend has 500FPS and a worse PC. Is my 60Hz 2013 year 720p monitor too bad, or am I missing a setting? FPS limit unlimited, V-Sync on (.)

Va

How about installing Java…

So picked out from your questions.

Ja

Does that decide the FPS numbers?

ce

Vsync must be off. You have to use Vsync to move the slider to the far right until there's no limit.
Otherwise you can lower the graphics settings.

No

If you only have a 60HZ screen, it is completely nonsensical to have more than 60FPS because your screen can't display more than 60FPS

Ja

And at 144Hz?

Gu

144 FPS but you see it smoothly from 60 FPS

za

It is fluid at 24 FPS

na

You can get more fps in minecraft by turning off the fps limit in minecraft. But you can still only see 60fps because your 60hz monitor can only display 60fps.

Ja

If I have a 144Hz monitor then is there 144FPS? And if I turn V-Sync off even more?

na

V sync automatically limits to the fps your monitor max. So if you activate v sync on your 60hz monitor it is automatically limited to 60fps but if you buy a 144hz monitor now it is automatically limited to 144fps. I would not turn off v sync as it has some advantages and no disadvantages

Ja

Would my monitor be overloaded without V-sync?

vi

That is also true. Not quite most monitors work with line skip systems so I can display a 60hz monitor 80 fps or more so it would be best to set the controller to 70-80 fps.

na

No overloading the monitor is almost impossible

se

V-Sync off.

You will probably only have a 60hz monitor, so it doesn't matter whether 60 or 500 …
