I've noticed recently that I only have 40fps left in Minecraft. Then I wondered why and once removed the power plug from my laptop. Then I had 500fps. I don't understand why. I searched all my settings, which throttled the fps but could not find anything. I looked in my OMEN Command Center, at GeForce Experience and set everything to maximum performance. The FPS in my Minecraft settings is also on UNLIMITED.
My PC actually limits the performance if I plug in a charging cable other than the one supplied. If I then run it on battery, it will be faster for me.
I use the supplied one.
I think the power cable is too high a voltage than usual. That is why your computer / notebook was overwhelmed by processors and therefore 40 fps.
Or of course because of a program such as OBS / recording programs that takes apart the performance of your CPU in German.
Actually, I haven't changed anything since the last six months, except that I've allocated a lot more RAM to Minecraft.
Have you tried setting the laptop to full power in the settings? Search times in the search bar at the bottom left to select energy saving plan.
Have you also checked the Windows own "what do I do in battery or mains operation" settings?
Or you have too much RAM to allocate, maybe your computer needs more because of this. So if you have 3 GB to allocate to Minecraft then make it 2 GB, if you still have little then because you may need a real graphics card and a real PC LG
