Can you somehow turn an earth block into a grass block (without random tick speed) that would be important for my woolen farm
Rain
No, you can't speed it up
That's not that easy. However, this is also not absolutely necessary for a wool farm
Yes you can.
Put a torch next to it. That doubles the speed.
(Explanation: Grass needs light to spread out. However, it is dark at night, so it can't spread out there. But if you put a torch down, it will be bright at night, and then the earth block can become one at night Grass block.)
Did Markus Persson personally tell you about WTF? XD

It's just xD
Jo, I'm Minecraft professional
Sure xD
Ne Joke, once played an FTB Modpack, and had a tree farm with 400 seedlings, and I noticed that not one grows at night. And then I tested around, and I noticed that grass doesn't spread at night either.
Sure xD
lol when and where?!
But that's not twice as fast
I usually build farms underground where there's always the same light level
You can also place torches underground xD
Yes it is. Day and night are the same length. As a result, it would only be half as fast if it could only grow during the day.
That's why I do it
The day lasts approx. 13 min, the night only approx. 7
You're right. I just tested whether that also applies to grass - and indeed, yes.
Grass grows from 22974 ticks (approx. 5 a.m.) to 13026 ticks (approx. 7 p.m.). So it really only grows 83% faster when you place a torch and not twice as fast. Think the questioner should still be enough. XD
