I plan to upgrade my PC.
But I can't buy everything at once. So I wanted to ask what do you think I should upgrade first? CPU or graphics card?
What I have now:
CPU: i7 4770K
Graphics card: 1660
What I will / want to get:
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
Graphics card: RX5700 XT
I mainly play Minecraft and TABS (Totally Acurate Battle Simulator). But also games like Arma 3, Watch Dogs, Ark and GTA V from time to time.
So what do you think I should upgrade first?
New CPU, new board, new RAM and possibly new power supply.
Would upgrade the graphics first, 8 threads are sufficient for now.
Naturally. I just wanted to shorten that with "CPU"
Since a 1660 is still pretty good, I would go to the CPU first. I myself build 50-60 PCs a year. Also a lot of game PCs. I'll link you a solid and good upgrade kit. I most often installed in PCs in 2019. And so far everyone is very happy with it.
The games you play there are already relatively CPU intensive. Maybe it's worth it to get a Ryzen 3600 or 3700x + b 450 board + 16GB DDR4-3200
Well… Then: CPU
That's relative, but let's put it this way, the gtx 1160 is currently still very strong, so I would definitely recommend the CPU, but not necessarily a ryzen 3000, but 2600, because it is significantly cheaper with the same performance. Info: ryzen benefits from fast ram.
