I already have a Mineraft account (and bought Minecraft).
Now I want to play on a new computer. If I open the Louncher (Minecraft.dmg), can't it open? What can I do? Are there other possibilities?
Download the launcher here and simply log in with your old Minecraft account.
The DMG file is an image in which the Minecraft launcher is located.
When you open this image file, you will see Minecraft.app and an alias of your program folder. Simply drag Minecraft to the Applications folder and you're done.
Then you can open Minecraft (or Den Launcher).
I downloaded the program from there, but it doesn't open
That happens to me too, so I can put Minecraft in the Applications folder but nothing happens from there. Even if I go to "Application Support" and start Minecraft there, nothing happens
Not even if I open the Applications folder or the programs or and want to open Minecraft
Application support is also the wrong place. You finally dragged the launcher (Minecraft.app) into the Applications folder.
If you double click on Minecraft.app, what happens? Nothing at all? What if you do a secondary click on it and click "Open"?
There was no file called Minecraft.app and if I double clicked and tried to "open" nothing happened. Now I have managed it, but this is taking too long to explain
Nevertheless many thanks.
There was no file called Minecraft.app
Well, then something would be really wrong… Without the file, it is not, because that's the launcher.
The file extension .app is not normally seen in the Finder, it only says "Minecraft".
Did you choose that for MAC
Yes
But thanks, the problem has been solved anyway
