How good is durability 3 in minecraft?

So I've made durability 3 on my slide sword and I wonder how often I can actually strike more.

I've only read that a slide sword has around 1500 rackets.

If you play de 1.16 axes are stronger anyway

Durability 3 means that on average the tool only loses a point of durability every fourth use, i.e. The things theoretically last four times as long.
