Minecraft from ssd to hdd?

Can I simply transfer the .minecraft folder from the ssd to the hdd or do I have to do something else so that it works properly

In theory, it should work. But it always depends on whether there's a link and so that it does not work.

If you want to be on the safe side, you better uninstall Minecraft and install Minecraft on the new drive, so you avoid errors that might occur.
