Our Villiger are despawned in Minecraft 1.16.3. At least we think so. The situation was that we kept four villigers in cages that were six blocks wide and six blocks high, then we packed a village into our zombie farm, and when we wanted to look back at the others, all three were different path. The entire cage was illuminated and we built two blocks in front of it so that there was no way they could run out. Can someone help us? Because actually villagers can't despawn.
Villagers can despawn if they haven't been assigned a task and don't have a bed, but that's lost if you don't know
This is nonsense, villagers - just like all other friendly mobs - can't despawn.

You can't despawn. Never. No matter under what circumstances you live.
Google "Can Villagers despawn" then you'll see that I'm right.
But why weren't they there anymore?
Do you play Bedrock Edition or Java Edition?
In the Bedrock Edition it sometimes happens that mobs simply disappear or fall out of the world. But it's not a feature but a bug.
In the Java Edition I can only explain it to myself through zombies, but supposedly everything is lit up. Maybe one of your teammates - for whatever reason - killed her.
But it could be that somehow a mob spawned anyway. E.g. A baby zombie that fits through a 1x1 hole?
It would be very annoying.
