I got Linux Mint today, installed Minecraft as a test, and tried to play 10 fps, under Windows I had 120 fps, can anyone help me, or is it just like that under Linux?
Do you have the necessary drivers installed?
With some graphics cards you need the appropriate drivers under Linux!
Have you installed the graphics drivers and Java correctly and are you up to date?
Also drivers for CPU and RAM? I don't really know how to install them?
I still have to find my way around Linux and need help installing graphics drivers.
And how can you install something from the browser on Linux?
What does "install from the browser" mean? Do you mean download an Install.exe from the Internet and run it? This is rightly not possible under Linux. Unsafe tactic ever.
Under Linux, programs are usually installed via the https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Software/. With Linux Mint via apt or the GUI program Software Center. Just look for what you need there, press install, type in your password and be happy that it's so easy.
What graphics card do you have?
No. Only with nvidia graphics cards.

Assuming I download something from the browser, for example, will I be directed to the folder right?
Which folder? Sorry, but I don't understand the question.
If you download normal files and use Firefox, an icon will appear in the menu bar at the top right. You can click on it and either open the file directly or go to the appropriate folder.
But this has nothing to do with installing programs on Linux Mint.
OK thanks
