I have the following problem:
My friend is passionate about playing Minecraft and also uses a VPN (the provider is called "Windscribe").
Not so long ago, however, his Mojang / Microsoft account was deactivated for playing because he logged into his account in the launcher several times in a short period of time (about 10 minutes) from different VPN services (this should not be done questioning). Thereupon he could no longer log in to the launcher until finally a response from support came, which said the following:
"Our system automatically deactivates accounts when it detects repeated activity from several different IPs. If this occurs frequently, we may not be able to reactivate the account." The first question arises for me, does he really mean the IPs or the geographical positions behind the IPs.
My other question is: Will there be complications even if he often changes the IP's from the same VPN provider (or is often assigned a new one).
If he's banned, that's a good thing and there's a reason. There's a possibility that hack clients were used. And I don't think it's 2b2t or other anarchy servers
The ban is justified
Why should you change the IP every time but always use the same account to cheat? Every server bans the account but not every server bans the IP so it should work the other way around, so that you change the account every time but not the IP that often.
One shouldn't question this
I do. Why is he trying to log in 5 times? It is his own fault if he uses a VPN. Yes, it is the IPs that are meant. This is a protection against cheaters.
Will there be complications even if he only changes the IP's from the same VPN provider?
No, it doesn't matter.
If an attempt is made to log into the account with 5 different VPN IP addresses within 10 minutes, Mojang assumes that the account is being misused and therefore blocks the account. The country doesn't matter, it's all about the many different IP addresses.
The best thing is to log in first, then activate the VPN.
