See above. What is the difference between the two versions and which version has which advantages and disadvantages?
On Windows 10 Edition it is possible to play together with console players on a server.
Java has more options and almost all skins and resource packs etc. Are free of charge. With Windows 10 you have to pay extra for everything.
Windows 10 can be used, for example, ray tracing. Mods go as far as I know only in the Java Edition. And shaders also work in the Windows 10 Edition even if indirectly but it is possible.
Windows 10 edition is the Bedrock edition if you want to know exactly. The Java edition is the original edition for me that has existed from the start. And which is also the most worthwhile. Bedrock 29 euro and limited functions. Java 23 euro and so many possibilities that Bedrock is almost forgotten
Windows 10 Edition is Minecraft PE on the pc
my personal opinion is always that the java version is better (because it also has more functions).
With the Java Edition you don't pay any money for extra content, there's no straightforward crossplay (Geyser plugin) and Redstone things work different / easier / better. Those are the biggest differences. There are videos on YouTube that show many small differences (e.g. Von https://www.youtube.com/...ck+vs+java or https://www.youtube.com/...k+vs+java).
