I'm looking for a low budget upgrade for the following PC

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770k

RAM: 16 GB DDR3-1600 quad kit

GPU: Geforce 1050

Mainboard: MSI Z77A-G45

I can swap the GPU for an old R9 290 tri-x that a friend gave me, but the rest of the things I'm overwhelmed with all the things on the net.

Unfortunately my budget is small 300 euro.

Goal: I would be happy if Minecraft does not die with 2 mods and sometimes newer games would run at least on mid settings at 30 ~ 40fps.

No idea if this is possible at all but maybe you have some insider tip.

If you say, you better buy individual parts, also get no topic NEN PC I think I still assembled.

So actually your pc should be enough for mods etc but if it really lies with you I would recommend you because your cpu should be enough an rtx 2060 which costs 330 euro

You could of course upgrade the CPU, board and RAM, for example: https://geizhals.de/...WL-1470244 (everything at Mindfactory, the CPU is currently for 165 euro in the Mindstar offers), makes ~ 320 euro.
For the old station wagon you would still get 120 euro used.

Or you can upgrade the graphics card correctly.
The R9 290 is faster than the GTX 1050, but it also uses a lot more power, which raises the question of which power supply you have.
An RX 5700, which is twice as fast as the R9 290, is now available for a good 300 euro.
For your GTX 1050 you get about 50-60 euro, for the R9 290 maybe 50 euro.

I guess that the limiting factor is currently the GPU, you can see the load on the components while playing.
