Save minecraft map?

I would like to know how / if I can save my minecraft map. I and a few colleagues have built a great big map on which we want to fight, but we don't feel like building the map again after each fight. Can you save the igwie and after you have used it, bring it back to the saved state?

You can make a copy of the world and use it as a backup. Back then, I created a Minecraft world with some friends and it worked really well. However, you can also change the Gamerules so that the map is not destroyed. Just enter / gamerule and press tab, you will see all options.

Do you mean the world as a server? And what is the server hosted with?

No no server a completely normal world
